The goal of our research was to reach out to the new
planner community to garner their thoughts about HTL.
Accordingly, this study examines new financial planners’ career paths and goals
to evaluate whether there is a manifest trend of new planners seeking to be hired
and trained so that they can leave for other opportunities. The HTL trend was
evaluated within both the “Career Changer Joining an Existing Firm” and
“College Graduate Joining an Existing Firm” entrant segments.
